Without giving too much away, here are the plates that I have ordered for my show coming up at the end of February in Baltimore. You can kind of see a theme going on in there, but there's no way you will know what they look like until they are all finished. There's a bird motif and a flower motif, that's all I will tell you.
This time around I am going to be making cards. I could have made stationary, but decided that cards is enough for now. Two sets of four cards will be available to the buyers at the Baltimore craft show, and whatever is left and hopefully another run of the plates will be going up in my shop. I am excited and nervous and slightly aghast at what I have to do in the next 5 weeks. But I know I will get it done.
Trying something new...the paper that I am using is cranes lettra paper (in ecru) Since this paper only comes in "parent sheets" ie, very large sheets, I had to take them to a printing shop and get them cut down to size and scored. I could have done it myself, but this shop can do it for me in about 1/3 the time, so I thought I would give it a try.
Now that the plates are here I just need to wait for the paper and I can get to work! I will be posting photos of the process here. It will be a first for me (and maybe for others) to print 700 cards in one batch more or less, so I think it will be kind of neat to see.
Keeping my fingers crossed that I make it through without too many snags.
